Nice spec! How much is the m sport + pack on the 2014 model and did they give you any idea of the emissions for the model year?

Hi, IIRC it was £1900 for the M Sport+ pack and no double counting on the packs eg. Xenons from visibility pack.

I will double check tomorrow on my paperwork.

I didn't ask about emissions but ECO pro is modified for better MPG & I believe some engines may get a small ~12 BHP increase but not the 328i.

Off the top of my head a few other changes inc. new option to debadge M side? logos. Launch control.

Sounds very close to mine , and i would have had the sport plus had it been an option at the time oh well, enjoy, glad you specced black panel if no nave like me , or would have been a mistake, and glad this site convinced me on it and VSS tbo.

Looking at the paperwork, I'm pretty sure it was £1900 (quoted figure 1190 + xenons), visibility pack quoted at £925 so basically an extra £215 for adaptive lights etc.

Many of the 2014 packages/options have an extra ~£25 added to give you an idea.

Cool! Yes, always tough to limit yourself on extras, at the end of the day I guess it's what you are willing to pay as a total package that's important, and resale of course.

Still time to change my options I'm considering the towbar for a bike rack.

I believe July builds are MY2014. You can always check with your dealer, the sales-guy confirmed MY2014 with me, I think Sports+ pack & M-series side deletion are part of the MY2014 builds too.

My code is Z3BD and listed as N20 2.0 if that means anything?!

The dealer can specify a July 1st build for the MY2014.

Thanks for the comment. I think we decided to go with roof bars as I already have Thule roof bike mounts and the total cost is £800 less.

I appreciate the advantages of the towbar bike mount though and the versatility of the towbar.

After having to negotiate to reorder the car at the beginning of September [felt I was ill-advised on the options], the car is in the UK and collection day is Thursday!

It's been a very long wait without a car with a lot of stress, I hope it lives up to expectations!

It's been a while since I took delivery of the car now - 4 months approx. and so I thought it was time I posted some feedback.

33 MPG so far with 1600miles, mixed use, mainly in sports-chasis mode. The car does seem to be loosening up - but already scratched an alloy in a pothole

The only mod so far is the black-gloss grills, although I'd like to replace the front fogs with whiter road-rated bulbs if anyone has a recommendation? I also added the Brodit/ProClip iPhone 5 holder with lightning attachment to the drivers pillar.

The Good:

Impressed by the boot flood lights, & boot mat is very handy!
Quite perky when needed - with subtle throaty sound, gear changes are good
Quiet and no rattles, suspension knocks or big wind-noise
Love the auto dim mirrors
HK audio is ok but good clarity with the lightning port direct to USB
Heated seat-backs #FTW
Great looking body

The [kind of] Bad:

'Tappety' sound from the petrol engine
Handles ok, but it's not an Audi TT steering could be weightier & adaptive suspension more rigid in fast corners
Parking sensors seem slow to react - or is it just me driving too fast?
Road noise - as expected
Interior quality could be better - leather not tight/fitting & the dual material door handles are badly aligned
Phone music integration could be better - occasionally no/wrong cover art, media dial on steering wheel not really useful. (Bring on Apple's CarPlay!)

The Ugly:

Creaking noise from steering column at 8 and 4 o'clock positions, on delivery - technician advised to wait for grease to distribute. After 1500 miles, I took it back and they resolved it.

Now booked-in to replace the steering rack. Apparently there have been updates made and the technician requested that it is updated.

Parking sensors are very slow, especially the front ones. I'm usually about to hit the bush in front before they go off. Useless!!! I think you can code them to be quicker and on all the time.

That's a long time from order to build, to delivery. Is that the standard SLA?

Haven't ordered mine yet (will be an F30) but I was under the impression that end-to-end was around 10/12 weeks?

Build July (for MY14) -> Sep was the original order.

Sep -> Nov was the second order.

10/12 weeks about right.
