Ashtray retro fit?

I have the basic recessed hole just in front of the shifter. If i buy an ashtray, is the power plug under the trim, and will the ashtray mount in easliy

Thanks

I did the opposite. I've got the ashtray kit left over as well

Are you finding the cubby more useful? The ashtray is pointless to me but the cigarette lighter is useful to power radar detector

The cubby is the most useful option. You could always relocate the power outlet to the side of the console, or just direct word the detector to the power outlet wires.

Most definitely. I now have a Laplace for my cell or sunglasses. I plan to do the x3 grab handle sunglasses holder next. If I were you I'd hardwire the detector to the Power in the rear view mirror

Thanks

if you just want to use a radar or something. i pulled the center console and area around the glove box. and just have my radar plugged in under hte center console. And i sold my ashtray to somebody that "retrofitted" it into there. seemed like it was really simple for them to do.
