Plasti Dip Project
Hey Guys, I recently undertook this project on my car with my friend. We Plasti Diped my car red. It turned out pretty good, but the gun I used wasn't proper so it is not smooth, and we were about a gallon short of dip. It was a good first try, but I'd figure I'd post it so if you have any questions maybe I can help you with pointers. I will be scrapping it and doing neon green next with the proper equipment. Took roughly 7 hours by the way, Let me get your honest feedback. Thanks!

looks cheap. and seeing that it looks bad in a bad photo, that means in an higher resolution photo, itll be even worse.
one tip, dont paint outside..... especially under a tree. LOL

Cant plasti dip a whole car outside, anything that is flying around will get painted right on the car... Don't like the flat look. Looked much better gloss black. Looks almost pink in some pictures.

Save yourself some time and don't mask everything off. The plasti dip will peel right off of the tails, trim, glass, headlights, etc. Anywhere there is a seem will peel neatly.

Go do a photoshoot with sunlight. I don't think your camera did any justice I did my buddy's b7 s4 and it came out fine but we peeled it off after a local car event.

If you like the look, OK. Enjoy.
I don't think it looks good at all. At least it'll protect your paint underneath. That's a good thing.

I think it looks pretty bad, but that's just my opinion (I'd never do red). If you like it, more power to you. But as others have mentioned, painting it outside in the elements is never a good idea. Ever.

I've never seen a plastidipped car look good in person up close.

Yeah looks like your car came out the factory but they forgot to put clear coat on it lol. I think red is a bad color choice for pasti dip.

Thank You
Thank You for your feedback, I understand a good amount of you simply hate it but thats ok, I figured it wasn't going to be praised. I was definitely 1 gallon off and the color is not as deep of a red as I was expecting. I will be doing Neon Green in the next few weeks with the paint gun they supply. I will upload pics with a better camera, not my iPhone. I appreciate the feedback guys.
