Bulb replacement
Just wanted to see if anyone has any input on how much it should cost for this repair. I have an 08 x5 and my idrive is telling me that my front left daytime running lamp/parking lamp is out. The angel eye is visibly not coming on durning the day. Soooooo, I got a $330 quote to replace it, at an Indy! I've called 2 BMW dealerships and gotten a quote in the $100s from one and the other dealership said they can pop it in for free and I only purchase the bulb for $40. Is my Indy majorly screwing me on this, or do you think maybe the dealerships aren't factoring something into their quote?? The Indy is telling me they have to remove the bumper, etc. and charging $300 in labor. Thanks!

To change an angel eye bulb I wouldn't pay more the $40 tops. You are definitely getting it up the you know what from those quotes.
Ever think of DIY. I would think it would be much easier in your car compared to the 3 series. And the 3 series isn't hard at all. |

I would reach out to your local area posts on this forum for someone that can help you or possibly if you are apart of any Atlanta GA FB Car groups for assistance. I have never changed a bulb in an X5 but assume it is somewhat the same as an e90... hardest part about it is getting the car jacked up and taking off the wheel. After that you just go through the wheel well, that is if it is the same as the e90
