Traction control engages all the damn time on my new tires! HELP!!
I just recently bought a set of 4 Pilot Super Sport. I have the 335XI sport package; 255/35R18 rear and 225/35R18 fronts
Ever since putting my new tires on my traction control lights up quite often. I think the problem is tire pressure. I was hoping for some help here. I have read some threads and was thinking of going 38 rear and 34 front? I am currently running 38 all around. The problem for me is that the traction control will light up while doing simple driving with some small bumps under med/hard acceleration. Does traction control mean my tire slipped or does it mean my car prevented it from slipping? I have heard new tires can be a little slippy for a while, but it's been a week so I am thinking it's pressure related? |

ANSWER: Tire place installed **THE WRONG SIZE TIRES ON THE FRONT*** I am running 245/35R18 on the fronts; but should be running 225/40/18!!! No wonder traction control is engaging all the time.
QUESTION: They have agreed to replace my fronts free, but will this have caused any problems or wear issues on the rear? |

Wait....you had 245 in in the front and 255 in the rear? I say if they fit keep them. If you go to a 225 in the front with a 255 rear you will light them up easier in your AWD vehicle.

The problem is the diameters for those tire sizes are way off, if he continues running them he'll destroy his transfer case and possibly his differential.
