Sorry could some kind sole direct me to a link as to how:
(1) I up link a google map loaction to the car
(2) have the weather on the didplay

I have the pro media.

I think I can help with the first part. Go to Google maps, get the directions that you want. Click on the "link" icon and then click on "send". You can then select "car" and put the details in (if remember correctly this includes your BMW online account - i'm not on my home computer at the moment).

Yes you need a BMW online username and then it's easy to send from google.

For the weather do you mean through BMW Online? (Under the main menu) or you can have the split screen and have the weather on the right side by setting it to BMW widgets.

Sorry should have explained myself better. Did the google map and tried to send but don't know where to get the user name thing. I got a card in the post just today has that something to do with it?

Register on the BMW Website with your chassis number. It took BMW 24hours to register the car and provide me with username and password...

I got the chassis number from the dealer so I registered the car well before they delivered it...

Hmm I've been sending destinations via the maps in the BMW remote app on the iPhone (also tried it once via the BMW 'routes' website) Are we saying here that you can send to the car via any old version of Google maps?

It works from the website but not the Google Maps iPhone app

Yes, Not just the BMW Connected App, but also google website. So simple to use, by the time you get to the car, you have a message waiting under Office. Open it and it asks if you would like to navigate to the location!

You can also see the weather directly on the navigation screen map. It only starts to show up when you zoom out to a large scale though.

I can only get this to work by sending an email to my car from the 'send' option. Is this how it works with google maps now or do I need to download an add-in or something?

Cheers

You don't need to download anything. The options to send to include email, GPS and car. When you select car you select the make from the drop down menu ie BMW and then type in your BMW usrename and hit send.

I have just tried it again and now I can see the car options
