traffic info on cic maps

Hello,
I know the folks in the states get traffic maps on the cic nav. How do you enable it for Canadian vehicles? Is it just coding or are Canadian cars missing the hardware to allow it? I believe it uses RDS for traffic. Thanks

I did a dump of my cic module and found this

NAVI_TRAFFIC_INFO_MAP
nicht_aktiv

I set it to aktiv and now I see the Traffic conditions/gray map option under map settings. If I enable the check box the map turns gray. I will have to drive around for a bit to see if it loads any traffic data.

Any update on this? Will it work if a Canadian car is in the US, as I've heard Canada doesn't get Traffic info.

i enabled mine with my cic retro, i see "enable traffic", but certainly don't see anything different in my maps.. i have 2009 maps at the moment.

There are few options you will have to change to activate the feature. I however do not know them off the top of my head.
