USB/ IPhone Connection Help!

Playing music today and a track suddenly stopped playing. The USB then can up in the Idrive as not supported. Tried my IPhone with the Y cable and that would not read either saying 'not connected' after trying to read it. Any ideas appreciated. Could do without a trip to the stealer

It has happened to me a couple of times. I just took cable or usb out, then put back in again. Took a couple of minutes to reboot.

Have you got your music in folders on USB stick as I'm finding it a pain to find songs?

Nope. Don't think so.
In the usb i just scroll down to the artist then choose, if i remember. Been listening to the radio more so recently.
It can be a bit off a pain if there is a long list, although i don't have the time or patience to put them in separte folders the now.

Mine had this issue until it went in for the software reset. Now the iDrive still seems to reset itself sometimes when using the usb but all the search functionality / reading has come back with the software update.

I think you hold the on/off/volume button in for 25+ seconds and it reboots the iDrive system
