Garage List
BMS F30 N55 intake

Anyone out there hear any additional details on this item? I saw it mentioned briefly in one of the threads here, but I haven't seen anything recently. Who's got the low down??

Terry said it's in the works, he didn't disclose a lot of info on it, give it a few months.

All the roto molding development, test pieces, mold creation, etc, take forever. All I can say is that its under development and getting close. But I will post info as soon as I'm allowed too.

Don't understand how this could outperform a BMW developed exhaust?

The same way aftermarket catbacks outperform a BMW developed catback. OEM parts ALWAYS leave room for improvement.

Doesn't the ppk come with a new intake?

I think the ppk intake is just louder right, not really any increased performance. To the point of outperforming the stock one, he's right the stock intake is pretty good, which is why there aren't many aftermarkets. I think we'll have a few aftermarket options soon but they won't be any crazy gains and they'll probably only happen at higher boost levels. I wouldn't expect more than 10 peak hp.

Any of you remember as kids when the Sears catalog coming out right before Christmas?

...well stumbling upon the n54tuning site today feels just like that. I smell trouble for the ol' F30 coming its way.
