Bilsteins for the F30 have now been released!!!

I know a lot of us in the F30 community, including myself have been waiting for this for some time. So, last night I decided to check again on Tirerack.com and low and behold, there they were! Shocks, struts and coil-over kits.

I am holding out for Koni Adjustable struts. I have had better luck with them vs Bils.

they make ordering them so confusing, why would they sell them one shock at a time and not as a set, and have two different priced rear shocks for the Heavy Duty.

I personally will be ordering bilstein shocks w/ h&r springs, but will wait til a different vendor sells them.

hey.. you never gave a better review about your b14s since it was too cold. Is it warmer enough for you to have a better feel of the suspension, and how it actually changes the handling / driving feel of the car?

How do you like them, from what i gathered they are quite stiff. Does the steering still feel "light."

How did the car's actual steering feel change after you got the coilovers?

Just a few words would do wonders, thanks! Btw, your car looks awesome

If you blow a strut, wouldn't you be glad to be able to buy one and not a set?

Sure, but they also should have packaged complete sets, and as well as these individual ones.

They should also have h&r/ bilstein shock combo discounts. Agh.. i really took for granted having access to aftermarket parts at competitive prices on my previous cars.

When it is +15C and above they are a lot better. I can't say how much that is down to the tires or the suspension though as I changed them both at the same time but I can't remember feeling this drastic changes with temperature on KW suspension. But now they are firm, but in a good and sporty way.

If you go hard into a corner and there are bumps in it the car is still planted and it still keeps the line you took as when on stock m sport it unsettled the car and you had to correct the line. It gives you a lot more confidence pushing the car. It has a lot less body roll too.

The steering hasn't changed in "weight" from what I can tell if you just put it down to suspension. The wider and lower tires has converted comfort mode into sport mode when it comes to stiffness. Turn in is a lot better and more direct but that is down to both tires and suspension (less body roll).

As I said above they feel a lot smoother now in warmer temperatures so they are quite OK and if I would have only driven them in these conditions I wouldn't have complained as hard as I did before in the cold. It is like night and day.

So to summarize I can say that I like them A LOT in the warm. They make you want to push the car in every corner and roundabout just because you can. But when it's cold they are very stiff (almost rock hard the first 1-2 min before they have warmed up a bit) so my winter will be interesting!

I just checked the manufacture part numbers for the rear shocks for this product since I was not sure as to which rear shocks to order to match the front. (There were two options on that link for rear shocks, one with MPN# 24-120395 for $104 each, and one with MPN # 24-120425, for $129 each.

Here is a link to tirerack's section for Bilstein shocks when i selected a 2010 e92 (notice the part numbers are the same)

http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...=Sport+Package

The part numbers are not for the f30! they are for the e90 / e92 model.

Funny thing is i still don't get the difference with these rear shocks. I really want to just run bilstein shocks & H&R springs on my car, and doesn't seem like its possible here in the US. I just emailed tirerack about this about an hour ago, so hopefully hear back from them within a week, but for some reason i am doubtful they actually have them.

I did the same thing. looked these up via Bilstein and it stats former body style. Doesnt show that any of these work for our cars but then again, it really doesnt say they dont either.

There's no way the shocks on the e90 / f30 are interchangable. Tire rack still can't give me the updated part numbers for the F30, been calling / emailing them for a few weeks now and they always say will get back to me with no definitive answer.

Supreme Power just notified me they are in stock at Bilstein now. 5-7 business days if you order through them.

So i went on the bistein website to get the part numbers for the shocks for the f30, and link to that is

http://web1.carparts-cat.com/default...C018004&12=130

then i googled the part number listed on the bilstein site, and found a company shipping to the US who has it, here's the link. It says it is for the "canadian" f30s, but im sure that it will work for the the US as well

http://efficienttruckperformance.com...-absorber.html

so seems like you can get the shocks front/ rear for $880 shipped, plus about $200 for the springs, and for $1080 get an awesome spring / shock combination. I think i will pull the trigger on the b8 shocks w/ h&r springs in near future.
