number plate bracket thingy...
So after owning my car for 5 weeks, i have finally worked out why the front end doesn't look quite right... the plate slopes down towards the floor and looks really odd
IMG_0572 by changedstate, on Flickr Now after finally fitting my private plate yesterday i noticed that the plate was simply screwed into the bumper with self tappers, and after seeing cow pats orange machine i can see that the plebs at my stealers have not fitted the number plate bracket behind that straightens up the plate and i presume holds the plate on correctly... i thought something wasn't quite right!! i guess that just sums up the stealers complete mess up of number plates on the vehicle, what with 9 weeks for a plate change and all that..... |

I thought the same on the demo F31 330d I had out a while back, thought the front number plate looked really poor at an angle.
So where do you get the bracket from ? |

I specifically asked my dealer to supply my car without the plate holder when I ordered my car, as I wanted to fit a shorter personal plate, without all the holes in the bumper, which they agreed to.
Needless to say, when it arrived, a rather sheepish sales person called to say that BMW had already fitted the plate holder, and so it had 8 holes in the bumper! Surprised to see one with plates fitted without it. |

^^interesting in two ways.
yes the dealer defiantly fits this not BMW so they have pulled the wool over your eyes..... Eight holes!!! they have told me is s simple case of passing the two screws through my existing holes in the plate into the bumper.. So they have pulled the wool on me too!! |

When I went to see my M3 being PDI'd they asked me how I wanted the plate fitting on the front, it is the norm apparently to screw that on in the same way your car has been done. I looked into getting a plate bracket like you have seen on Captains motor.

Would the angled plates fool speed cameras?
