INPA Idle RPM Adjust
Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping to try and increase my idle RPM on my 2006 325i using INPA but am pretty lost on how to do it. I tried searching everywhere but can't seem to find any directions. I currently have INPA/EDIABAS V5.02 installed and NCSexpert 3.1. There is no adjustment parameter for idle RPM in INPA? Am I using the wrong version? Thanks! |

I think it's more for on the spot diagnostics. It returns to stock values when you restart car...been trying to see if I could get this to stick a few months back (no luck so far) |

Msd80 is for 335i, and I can confirm that it works properly
If you have the same options for your DME module, it should save as well There is also an option in there for on the spot idle adjust that only works while INPA is running it, so you can play with the idle and determine the correct amounts to adjust in the other screen. If you were using that you have to 'end' it before you go to the other screen, or it will not save |

My dealer set mine up 100rpm but not sure what they used to do it. So definitely can set n55 's.

Use dis, go to service functions, engine, idle speed ( or something like this im writing from my poor memory) it will let you change rpm by +10 rpm at a time to max about 50-100rpm above or under default value

Interesting. I'll try this out when I get a chance. Has anyone actually got this to work yet?

I replaced spark plugs, ignition coils, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, serpentine belt , water pump, thermostat, coolant and engine oil and now the engine seems to have less workload and the idle speed is about 600 rpm, which is close to resonance speed (I guess) and causing vibrations. |

I think the reason for vibrations is the engine mounts. The car has 130K miles and they never been replaced. Vacuum leak would cause variation in the idle speed, which is not noticeable. Thanks for your help all! |
