7" VRSF Intercooler, front number remove??

Do we need to remove the front bumper for the 7" VRSF?? I know we need to trim the back of the bumper but do we need to remove?? Want enough info before I get this install.

It's much easier with the bumper off. You're not trimming the bumper at all just the shrouding around the intercooler. After you remove the stock IC just put the VRSF IC up to where it would fit and you'll see what needs to be trimmed. You can literally use a butter knife to trim the shroud it's very flimsy.

Good luck

I did it without removing the bumper. I didn't think to do it at the time but pulling the radiator fan would have made it a lot easier and it only takes a couple minutes to do.

You can also watch these two videos that HPF made showing the whole process.

I know it can be done without removing the bumper, but to make your life easier that day i would recomend removing the bumper thats only exta 15 min off work that will save you atleast an hour in the long run. If we were talking about a 5inch then its a diffrent story but the 7inch is harder to wiggle around with.

That's my point. Everyone says no don't remove bumper but its 10-15 minutes and makes life MUCH easier. Don't be lazy take the extra time to remove the bumper your first time you'll be happy you did! If you're just on jack stands or ramps it will also make it much easier.
