Opinions.. Silver or CF?

Hi All,

I have a pretty standard Titan Silver E90 LCI Msport and I am currently after a rear boot spoiler and bumper lips/splitters. I am unsure if i should go for CF or just get plastic ones and spray them like the rest of the car.

Should i go for the CF ones, i am thinking of wrapping the rear diffuser and getting a cf kidney grill as well.

What do you guys think?

Yeah been bating this around a bit myself, where I am currently at is that now all grown up, and being that these aren't actually exotics made of carbon fiber, I would proceed with painted pieces to reduce the "kid"/Rice factor. If I were still an under 25 dude busy trying to get looked at and impress other under 25 year old dudes then the clear coated carbon is the easy answer.

However... there's still a part of me, that age be damned loves the look of the exposed carbon fiber. I really dislike the 335is black mirrors, I think it looks like someone forgot to paint them, so I've been tossing a solution, and I think I might just have the mirrors wrapped to match the TiAg. OR... Carbon. Back and forth.

Might be that I'm no use here... Sorry.

....back to square one!

A thought I had was to move all my carbon to the inside, replace the trim, get some after market carbon bits, and just go all carbon inside where I can enjoy it, and it's not out there for the world to see. Just a thought.

Most likely, I will NOT be doing any carbon exterior bits. I see them on a lot of cars here on the forum and mostly they look kinda cheesy.

But then I flip flop.

Cheers.

I have sort of gone through this debate myself. If you dont care what others think then you have to ask yourself, are you willing/wanting to put more CF trim pieces around the car or is this going to be the only piece that you do?

I actually like it when some extremities are a different color; makes the car "pop" a little bit more. I also like the pattern and reflection of the CF, especially the 2x2. Just make sure that if you do CF all around, that you try to make sure the patterns are the same. Just my 2cents. CF will make your car look non-OEM though

carbon fiber love the look of it, should look good on a silver e90 lci, see some pics in google or over here to get an idea. I would go for cf.

I have a TiAg e92 and think adding a little black to any TiAg goes a long way. Whether it's a front lip, wrapping the window trim, roof wrap, grilles, or rims...like 1chanc3 said, it pops. It doesn't necessarily have to be cf....gloss or matte black finish does the job just as well.

I know you have a LCI but, the thread below has some pretty sick TiAg e90s to give you an idea of which way you want to go.

CF would look good with your color car. I'd say CF

Lips/splitters can be carbon fiber, but the spoiler should be painted. IMO the only other exterior parts that look good in cf are the roof and the mirrors. I hate it when people have cf hoods or trunk lids.
