Cigarette lighter in trunk. Worked perfectly for me. No codes and doesnt draw power when car is off. No wiring to front of car. I assume you have the remote control and not the hard wire switch?

Thank you. Yes I did purchase the remote. I spoke to GThaus and they gave me a wire I can hook into and they recommended a relay to put in place.

I spoke to them during my install as well. I didnt use their recommendation as the lighter socket worked perfectly. Excited for you. It's about to feel like a new car all over again.

Cool, I'll mention it to my tech and see what he wants to do. I'm super amped. I love the power but I keep saying to myself that because it's quiet the car is not exhilarating compared to how my E60 made me feel. I had the stock exhaust on my last M5 but it had no resonators. It sounded great IMO. Anyway, as long as it gets here tomorrow its supposed to get installed Wednesday night.

With the valve open, do you really enjoy the sound level in the cabin? And it's not too much right?

Sounds great in the cabin, you're going to be very pleased. It's not too loud at all IMO since the cabin is so isolated from sound already.

Another option is to plug the valves power wire to the head up display fuse in the fuse box via a fuse buddy adapter. The symbol is a square in the manual hidden in the fuse box in the trunk. It is also a not always on power source similar to the lighter. Hope this helps. Works in my M6.

Just got installed and my tech is saying that visually the valve is only opening 4mm. I am leaving soon to inspect. Any ideas?

I had the same problem initially. The electronic valves are inline with the pipes but can be misaligned and the valve can get stuck on the pipe while opening. You must loosen the valve and recenter so they don't catch on the pipe. Hope this helps.

It certainly did....Thank you so much. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about this. Got up early and did exactly what you said. I'm in business.

Get those valves open. You will be deprived of the sounds of god without them fully open. Should just be some minor adjustments needed. No biggie.

It's working. The right one hung up a little before so I gotta mess with it a little more. I'm assuming heat expansion was a factor. So far I love the sound. I gotta find a trustworthy friend to drive it while I drive their car so I can truly appreciate it.

Old Thread. Dumb question?
Why can't Meistershaft GTC design a system that utilizes the factory exhaust valve harness that gets its signal from various modes; Sport, Sport+ and M modes?

I dispise having to deal with remotes and a dumb switch that doesn't belong in my car!!!
