Over the Air Software Updates

Just looking for some help regarding software updates. As the car was only built a few weeks ago I know that there may not be any updates available, but when I go to the Settings -> Software Update -> Update Software menu item I just get a screen telling me that there is no USB device with software connected. I don't have a USB device connected because I wanted it to do an OTA update (or check for an update). I've seen images showing that the Update Software menu should then have a USB and BMW Teleservices option, but I don't get the latter (not even a greyed out option).

I've got the Pro Nav (609), Teleservices (6AE), ConnectedDrive Services (6AK) + a string of other similar items, but not the menu item I mentioned.

Does anyone know how to get this to appear?

do you have the engine running when you try and update?

Do the bmw online services work ok i.e. news, weather etc.?

No, I just had the ignition on. Is that insufficient?

Yes, the other services work fine.

The option isn't there with the engine running either. All other online services seem to be working fine.
