Lips???

Scratched the heck out of my lower right bumper on a curb as have several other owners. Was considering putting the carbon fiber lips on instead of having the bumper repaired.

Anyone seen these on sparkling graphite or have a picture? Are the OEM lips the only option?

Any other recommendations from the crowd besides stop running into curbs?

There are other options, such as Hartge, Breyton, Schnitzer, Lumma, Hamann

Here's pics of a few, and a keyword search for the others will yield many many results in the photo gallery.

HARTGE!!

haha...i personally think that's only one that will look BALANCED if you only install a lip, cause like the AC lip, u need to put the whole body kit to make the car balanced out. If not, from the side view of the car, it will look like a chin sticking out. THerefore, HARTGE!! save $$$ and looks pretty good to me

I also scratched my bumper this weekend. I will assess the damage when i get it washed just now...

The problem is that the carbon lips are almost more, if not just as expensive as repainting the bumper.
The second problem, is next time you scratch it...you are damaging your very expensive carbon fibre lips

Carbon fiber looks great against dark colors, but not on lighter ones in my opinion

Just ordered the lips from Pacific BMW. Their price is $462 for the pair. I called my local dealership and they would not match that price.

Hope not to scrape these but if I do then should just be $230 to fix the side that is scraped.
