passenger mirror tilt in reverse ?

Hi.

Week ago I got my new 320D. It is amazing.
However I have one question. In manual it says that passenger mirror tilt in reverse. I found this feature very useful as on my old car I have scratch it several time as I was lazy to manual adjust to see low kerbs.

However my doesn't work.
Manual says it is activated by mirror adjusting switch set to left (driver mirror adjusting)

So, I wonder if my doesn't work or it is not standard equipment.
I have read some forums where says it is standard. But this are US forum so maybe EU standard equipment is different
Maybe it comes with electrical folding mirrors or electrical seats (that my 320d do not have)

Anyone knows how to set up the system that always start in eco-pro mode?
My starts always in Comfort.

Have a fun

If I'm not mistaken, you need the electric powered seats.

I don't have that option, but it still tilts on my car. So I guess both options will do then.

Interesting and strange, as it is not written in catalogue/brochure for F30 for electric seats.
Maybe is really standard on all cars but mine doesn't work somehow!

Tilting mirrors

Same as Rossifumi, my new F31 (2013) tilts the mirrors when in reverse but I don't have electric seats or the auto folding mirrors.

passenger mirror tilt in reverse ?

Is your mirror selector switch in the correct position?

That is the toggle switch that changes the mirror adjustment between the two mirrors. If it is in one position it turns off the auto tilt so maybe you have the selector in the wrong position. Check the manual to find the correct position for this selector switch - I forget which one is which.

While in reverse just try toggling the selector left and right, once on the correct side you should see the left mirror move (after maybe 1 or 2 seconds), toggling to the other side and it will come back up.

There is no other control for it, so if that does not work you may miss one option. Then perhaps it can just be coded ?

I have just got a 2014 x5 m-sport and had the same problem. It turns out the switch for adjusting has to be set to the right mirror to make the left mirror tilt.

Would love to know if the mirror tilt on reverse can be coded. I don't have any of the necessary options (auto-fold, dim, etc...on my wing mirrors), but I would love the mirrors to tilt down when I select reverse.

Can it be coded?

I think it can be coded, check out the bimmercode app, it has an option for this (at least I see it in the demo mode).

Edit: Ow, shiite, I didn't look at the date this question was posted, my bad.

How do you adjust the level of drop? I feel it would be nice to have mine drop a bit more.

If the mirrors are not electric folds, you can not ...

Just to say my mirror dips when selecting reverse but I don’t have electric folding mirrors.

I have electric seats.
