DME and EGS adaptation reset
Im trying to do DME and EGS adaptation value reset because my car jerks from 2-3 gear. As you can the picture, there are 3 EGS transmission control. So here is my question. which EGS do i need to rest? I drive 07 335i built date 09/06, ZF transmission. Thank You!

Try anyone, if DIS will connect with EGS ECU, this will be yours. Don't worry, you won't break anything |

The ZF is the 6HP. I have no idea what the 6HPTU is--maybe "Transaxle" for X-Drive?
I don't have a lot of faith that resetting the adaptations will help though. Mine was doing jerky things and slipping during hard 4-5 shift. I just got run around by a trans shop for 6 months before they finally got it right. They did a complete rebuild minus the mechatronic. Turned out it needed a new one from ZF to finally fix the problem. I don't know if it ever needed an overhaul as it demonstrated the same behavior a few days after an adaptation reset. |

Its really weird because it doesn't jerk all the time. when it jerks i put gear on neutral then drive and it wont jerk for some reason, its always 2-3 gear. I do have warranty and it only covers "transmission case, torque converter, flex plate, vaccum modulator and transmission mount." I dont know if any of these are causing it or not.

the TU stands for Technical Update, which is 2nd gen, and is what our cars have
6HP19TU = 6HP21 (aka 6HP19Z in realoem) The hardware code for post 3/07 cars is 004 4DC0I 8A0S ITA3S (BMW 7611397) |

I did "reset all adaptation" in egs transmission and i was wondering what exactly reset because now my car shakes in cold start around 600-700rpm for like couple sec.

As I mentioned before, I think it's not an adaptation problem. |

Hi, i have a e91 2009 328i which i did a full swap from a 2009 335i.
i swapped all including steering wheel with pedal shifters , engine, transmission, brakes, differential, all modules except the footwell and junction box. the only issue that i had is that the ms mode and paddle shifters did not work, i can to the manual m1 m2 m3 m4 m5 m6 but it goes back by it self to d mode. aslo the ds mode does no show not where in dash like before the swap. this can be a wiring problem or coding? thank you for any help!!!!!!!!!!!! juan |

328iWagon...I know this is an old post but also for someone else that may look at this. I had the same problem with M mode always jumping back to "D" mode. After doing a whole lot of other fixes I found it was a broken wire in the shifter harness. There about 8 wires I believe that run in a loom from the bottom of the shifter. You access them from the top but you have to unbolt the shifter to get enough clearance to remove the cover & wire harness. Inspect the wires closely as they are tiny. I had 3 broken 1 was for the shifter mode the other 2 were for shifter position lights which was a bonus fix while I was in there. Anyway hopefully someone sees this and saves some time.
