Yep, Floyd is great for bedtime. Not sure what genres you like, but there are a few tracks I like from Delerium's Poem. Joanna Stevens and Kirsty Hawkshaw have incredible voices - "Poem for Byzantium" and "Nature's Kingdom".

Try Rush Limbaugh, he'll put anyone to sleep. Seriously though, try not having music with lyrics or heavy beat lines in it. Something like Enya usually does the trick. If that fails go out and buy yourself a meditation/relaxation CD and listen to it. It'll knock you right out. Smooth Jazz works well too.

Although I dont do this anymore, I used to think that classical music would help me sleep. I later came to realize that pretty much any type of music can do that- just put the volume loud enough so you can hear it. If it's too low then your brain will keep working to try and listen to it. If it's too loud then obviously you wont be able to sleep.

Also- listen to soft music, not heavy metal stuff.

Background noise tapes/CDs are teh way to go. Your mind hears teh basic sounds, enough to keep it busy and not wander, but not enough to really engage your senses.

Don't listen to anything with a noticeable beat...like a drum beat or something. Trance and really slow progressive songs are honestly the way to go.

I forgot, the best things are those natural sound generators (make noises like waves, wind, and rain). You've probably seen 'em at a Sharper Image store or whatever. Those things work wonders. If you can't sleep easily these just might do the trick. I don't have mine at the moment and look at me...it's ONE in the f'in morning...on a TUESDAY. lmao
