No clicking noise with blinker/hazard

So I've just come out of warranty on my 2006 325i when of course everything begins going wrong.

Overheating + limp mode... water pump was shot and had that replaced for ~$850.

A bunch of dash lights on for DSC, etc..... had to replace the SZL for another $900. I asked the dealer to try cleaning the IR sensor before replacing it after I'd read here that that worked for many people.

The last issue I've got is no blinker/hazard click sound when they're activated. Apparently the dealer tells me it's another $1000 or so to replace the part that is causing this.

This just seems ludicrous at this point. Any ideas? If $1000 on this part is my only option I'll just have to live without the indicator noise.

Why not take it to an independent shop?

My blinkers aren't making the clicking sound anymore either.
