"If door not close well, alarm sound" lol

Cool idea but I don't think I would trust it. I'm kind of an oem guy myself though.

Seems cool. Not sure what it cost but I would not buy it unless it allows you to start the car without the key in. Otherwise its a waste, if im so lazy where i cannot hit the lock and unlock button someone please shoot me and put me out of my misery.

I wonder if this actually upgrades non comfort access vehicles? Its hard to tell from the video. Does the factory keyfob in the video look like current comfort access keys? It looks like mine thatIi stick in the dash.

OEM comfort access would be fine if I could retrofit...........but it doesnt look possible. This might be a good alternative if it does the conversion! Sticking the key in the dash on my 06 sucks

not really a CA alternative, seems like an add on to it. i think id rather have the car coded for windows up and mirrors in. alarm for door open seems pointless

In theory, this shouldn't enable you to start the car without the OEM key, it should merely be a proximity lock/unlock.

There are a lot of reasons this definitely isn't as good as OEM comfort access, but at the same time for $200 and one little extra dongle on your keychain, it's probably worth the money. Seems neat enough.

That's because it's an f10 5 series. All f10 and f30s have keyless push button start regardless of whether you have comfort access or not. They don't even have a slot to insert the key anymore.

Ahh, that explains why the key looked like a CA key and why there was no slot

So indeed, on an E90 (the system says it supports E90s), you still have to pop your key in, which is consistent with the security protocol for engine start.

If that is indeed the case, I'll pass. This would have been worth it for me if it included no key start. Ah well.
