///M-Sport Foot Rest:DIY

Maybe I'm retarded but I couldnt find any DIY thread that covered the foot rest. Mostly just the pedals so heres the DIY for the foot rest:

OEM Footrest:

///M-Sport Footrest:

Step 1: slide your fingers under the footrest close to the anchor points and firmly snap loose the footrest. Work your way from bottom to top because there is a flap at the top that connects the foot rest to the underdash shroud. Once you have snaped the footrest loose from all of its anchors than rotate the footrest counterclockwise and up to rotate the flap loose from the shroud. Then you should have this:

Step2: In the same fashion that you removed the old footrest install the new one. The flap needs to get locked into the underdash shroud. This takes a little finagling but strong fingers prevail.

Step3: Once the top flap is locked into the underdash shroud rotate the footrest clockwise and back down so as to line up the anchors with their perspective holes. Firmly snap in the anchors and you should be left with this:

I think the M sport footrest are great. The little noobs make it grippy and soft.

You're right- it doesn't come up on Crown's site- maybe because it's a Euro part?

I think you guys will want to call the actual parts dept. manager because this part dosnt even show up in the u.s. acc. catalog. I went to crevier with my german parts catalog in hand and they found all the parts i already have but said they cant even get them because bmw dosnt have any of these parts in stock, but that was a while ago so maybe crownbmw can do something for you.
