Possible to code the DRL's/AEs to do this..
Keep the DRLs on if the lights are "off" and not set to anything... as my car is now...
but then have the DRL's turn OFF when turning on the "parking lights" so that only the AE's come on + the rest of the parking lights - rear lights, etc. Looking into getting MTEC AE's and think they look better without the DRL;s on... thoughts? I have 08 with adapative xenon headlights. No auto hi-beams though.

I dont think the 06 has FRM2 module. The only sure way I know of to achieve this is to use a harness like the Daeos. I never got clear confirmation but it may also be possible to code off the corner lights so that you can run just the AE's by setting the switch to parking lights and disabling the DRLs (flash to pass halogens) through the stalk or with idrive if you have it.
let me know if you find a way I'm mulling the options as well. |

Its somewhat possible, In my early 07 car i coded the AE to be on at all times, and then disabled the DRL in the BC stalk. Downside is that even in the headlight off position they are still on. Shortly after i coded my fog lighs the same way. but i got the desired result with out buying a harness.

I am pretty positive the e92 headlights and A/E functions are very different from the E90 models.

yea the e92s have different headlights.. and when they changed to the LCI models, they got even more disimiliar as far as I know. The e92s got the brighter whiter AEs before the sedans did too.
