Smile Trunk close handle

I notice that e46 has the trunk handle, so u don't touch the paint when u close the trunk, I didn't see it in e90, so how you guys manage close the trunk with out worry about finger prints all over it.

No handle on mine and just last night I noticed some fine scratches under the plate. Can't really see them in daylight, but if you look close enough in the flourescent garage lights they are there. Have to get to it and buff them out this weekend.

There are handles on the inside of the decklid. I give it a pretty strong pull and it closes the trunk without any fingerprints, works every time The e46 has these as well.

I use the handles on the backside of the trunk lid. I pull it all the way down and it shuts on it's own, no touching ever.

LOL. No, it's scratches from the dust that I [foolishly] allow to collect on the car sometimes. Never even noticed the handles on the inside. Next time I'll have a look and make sure I use them, although old habits die hard.

Best way to do it. I started this important habit back in 1993 on my E36 325i.
