Hey
You should roll over to Mission Beach and hang out at the beach. You can drink on the beach and those of you that are not 21 can still enjoy. Be careful though because some cops come around to check IDs and if your boys are under 21 drinking you'll get burned. You can also go to catch a game at Petco Park where the Padres play. Petco Park is in the heart of downtown and you'll love it. Not too much for under 21's in SD nightlife unless you're looking for house parties at the State University. =\ Enjoy

Petco Park is really nice, great suggestion. Gas Lamp/Mission Beach/Sea World/Petco Park will keep your itinerary full. If you like Sushi, try Sushi Ota by Sea World. It is very good.

actually go to Rosarito it's a lot nicer and cleaner then TJ, while it's about 20-30 mins south of the border you can get lobster for cheap, go to beaches, and clubs/bars.

Go to black's beach if you want some surf, or down south a little to scripp's pier if you aren't on top of your surfing game.

Eh, dont go to mexico. San Diego has enough great things to do.
First off, you can take a 1hour tour of San Diego bay for pretty cheap ($18): http://www.sdhe.com/san-diego-harbor-tours.html Make sure to check out Mount Soledad. It has a *great* view of the city/ocean and you can even see TJ on a clear day: http://entertainment.signonsandiego....s/places/91675 No cost. If you are looking for a place to just chill for a little while, I suggest the glider port in Torrey Pines (you can head there before/after mount soledad since its nearby). At the gliderport, you can watch people jump off the cliff with hang gliders--pretty fun if you ask me: http://www.google.com/search?q=torrey+pines+gliderport Gaslamp (downtown) is definitely a cool place to check out at night. Parking is a little difficult, though. What I recommend you do is to park at Horton Plaza (its a mall *right* next to the gaslamp district) and just buy a coffee or something to validate your parking. If you're looking for dessert, "Extraordinary Desserts" is a great place to go. Great food with reasonable prices. There is one located in Little Italy, which also is a good place to check out for dinner: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...o+little+italy http://www.extraordinarydesserts.com/locations.htm SeaWorld is also pretty cool to check out if you've never been. I've personally been there about 20 times (due to taking visitnig friends/family) so I don't think its much fun. Though I agree its *much* better than a traditional zoo! If you like fast food, check out In-and-Out burgers. Its a very "california" type fast-food burger place. I recommend a "Double-double animal style" though you won't see it on a menu. "Animal style" is the key. Sucks for me, I stopped eating fast food about 2 years ago http://www.in-n-out.com/ Mission Bay is also a cool place to check out/have a picnic. Early morning and late afternoon you should see a bunch of people out there wakeboarding. We used to go out right around sunrise. Also, if you go to fiesta island on Mission bay, you can see people kiteboarding which is pretty impressive. Don't know what times of the day they are out there since I've never tried the sport. http://www.sandiego.gov/lifeguards/beaches/mbay.shtml You can do jet ski rentals from shops around mission bay if you're interested also. If you have a truck with towing package, you can get much better deals from shops that are not on the water. Edit: Forgot to mention Julian. If you have a day where you dont have anything to do, consider driving out to Julian. Its a very touristy place and has some good restaurants. http://www.julianca.com/ |
