How are all the doors unlocked? Are they unlocked because you and the passenger got out of the car (thus unlocking it by double-pull on the door handle)? If so, then the trunk may still be locked (just like the fuel door).

However, if the doors are unlocked because you pressed the lock/unlock button inside the car or pressed the FOB unlock button, then your trunk and fuel door should also be unlocked.

Have you checked the lock from inside your glove box?

Unlocking the car with the fob or using the unlock button inside the car is the only way I know of to get the handle for the trunk to work without manually using the fob to do it. Otherwise, CA or no CA, anyone can get into your trunk just by putting their hand there.

Yeah, if you ever need to valet your car, slide the lock switch inside your glove , lock your glove compartment, and take your "key" out of your keyfob.

in the fine manual, it mentions that you can manually lock the trunk via the glove box switch to prevent it from unlocking with the FOB. This is for things like valet access, etc.

Flip the glove box switch back to the middle or to unlock to get it to work...

When I press the unlock on my key fob, it "unlocks" the trunk, so that if I press the little handle, it will then open. Not really sure why yours won't do it...

It depends on if the glove box switch is not set to the lock position. Its not supposed to be set to lock by default, so a passenger may have played around with it...
