335 People--Your Most Important Option?
I'm assuming we started with the most basic option of all, i.e., the 335 performance option with related upgrades.
That win safely in the bag, which would be your #1 option add-on for the F30? |

Disagree on HUD getting as much love as it gets. I had HUD on my E60 M5 and now after driving the 335i for a while I don't really miss it that much.
I would actually put the HK stereo as a must have over HUD. It's really that good over the stock stereo. That's one reason I did Navigation but not the tech package, and took the savings and applied it to getting an HK stereo. |

HUD is awesome but heated steering wheel may be a close 2nd. More useful for me but doesn't have the same "cool factor"
HUD is not standard though bc another 335 I test drove had Nav but no HUD. They apparently needed one in ASAP and ordered nav separately. The car was $100 cheaper and otherwise the same. The winter package is alright but I didn't think I will ever use headed rear seats. The heated steering wheel is great though as I part outside during work.

I really use the HUD constantly. Close 2nd is the M Perf exhaust. Also agree that the HK is a key upgrade

Blind spot monitor, so sick. Been wanting this for the last decade. Hate turning my head.

I would still turn your head It isn't meant to replace a visual check... if it ever didn't function properly it would be an expensive day when you run into a car in your blindspot.

The blind spot warning is NOT designed to replace you looking! In my experience it does not detect motorcycles or bicyclists very reliably, and when the road curves it won't detect the other car until you start getting uncomfortably close to their lane.
It's mainly for (1) saving time - when it buzzes there's no point in bothering to look. (2) passing -- BMW mirrors are a bit on the small size and the blind spot warning is a good rule of thumb for a safe distance to re-enter your lane after a pass. |

+1 really makes the auto incredibly fast to shift. And you also get a leather boot around the shifter and actually looks substantially better! Easily the best bang for buck option.
