aFe Throttle Body Spacer??

So, anyone heard of this part before? $314 seems like a healthy chunk of $$$ for this sort of thing - the E90/92 version sells used for <$100.

The car communities I come from treats these parts as jokes. The only throttle body spacer I know of that has any effect is for nitrous injection, LOL. If this part turns out to be beneficial, please let us know - I'll hold off on final judgement until we get some reviews

I agree with the crazy price!!!!!! Thats about the same price of tuning chips. I have a spacer on my chevy tahoe and not much of a noticeable difference, but who knows?

I can't see how this thing could possibly gain the numbers they are claiming. If there was that much easy hp on the table BMW would have set it up like that off the bat.

Exactly - such a small part to change things so dramatically, you would think BMW would have included something like this built into the OE throttle body in the first place.

It seems aFe offers some good parts but this one, I'm just not so sure.

aFe had to machine their own bolts for this kit which drove their manufacturing cost up.

I didn't contact them, thought someone here might have this part. If anything, this thread will get the part some more exposure, maybe someone will end up ordering and can report back here

Makes sense - they must have foreseen enough sales to make this part worth it. BTW, glad to see you're a sponsor in the F30 section of the forum!

I've been wondering the exact same thing OP, it just doesn't seem worth it at all. Afe also claims good numbers on there intake for the f30, which i have. I didn't notice anything much but a tiny bit of extra torque under the curve and a change in sound and thats exactly what i was expecting. Afe is very optimistic with there numbers to say the least with products like these... except there scorcher module. There is a huge noticeble increase there.
