Why not use an N54 stock exhaust as fitment wouldn't be a problem.

There was a fitment issues when I installed the aftermarket exhaust from n54 on mine. There's difference between n54 and n55

Hmm that's strange because my HKS exhaust is an n54 and bolted fine on my N55 E90. Also I spoke to Long at LTMW and he says there should be no problem putting an N54 exhaust on an N55 car.

It depends on the exhaust. Mine was hitting the heatshield somewhere mid-curve. And I believe N55 oem exhaust has one cat on it.

Yes there are no resonators on the N55, but there is room to fit an N54 stock exhaust. I do have an N54 stock exhaust right now so don't claim that it doesn't fit.
