Fabricate 535i non-sport fender "plugs"?

I have an idea of how to fill the gap between the upper and lower sections of the F10 535i base model fender, but I have no idea who can fabricate the product. Please refer to the red trapezoids inboard of the fog lights on the attached picture. The exact position, width, and slant are debatable...anything to guard against looking like a mouth with only incisors! Do you know anyone who can make this type of item?

Thanks for any advice!

It is perfect that you have referred to Torino8's "for sale" thread because it is precisely that thread which made me think "if only I could get just those two parts which connect the upper fender to the lower lip...". So, I sent an email to 3D Design, North America on 12/6 asking them that question. No reply yet. I'd like to avoid the sole-source high-price problem caused by having only one vendor, so I posted the question here. If Torino8 could cut off the two pieces that I need from his full item, that would be exactly the product that I am seeking. But since Torino8 would probably not want to destroy his product...I'm hopeful for another way to the end result.

So you just want a plastic template that will just snap in there? black plastic or painted? I may be able to help. At Metal Works we just bought a CNC machine to help make custom products in house. This is something I can make if I can come up with a good way to secure them. If you interested send me a private message.

I'm sorry to have taken so long to reply but just a week before you wrote this I purchased an OEM M Sport bumper cover on eBay in order to start accumulating parts to replace my entire front bumper. Until yesterday, I was not sure that the project would work out. The evidence shows that it did...and thank you for offering to give us an alternative.

I'm glad you chose to go the m-sport route. Also, nice touch with the same color outter rim of the grilles. Did you get it painted?

I did paint the outer rings the body color. On my first set of original grilles I DIY painted over chrome and every little chip shows chrome

This set, I started with the sport version, thoroughly prepped prior to paint, and then, after paint and clear coat, covered the leading edge with clear tint to try to protect against road debris damage.

Thanks Evolve, in case you forgot, you're the one who got me started on this with the vinyl you sent to me six months ago

Thank you! In order to "beat the heat", I'm tinting the windows on Friday. Evolve, are yours tinted? If so, what percentage is your tint? Your car has always looked great.

Very nicely done! Did I see somewhere that you had a write up with part #s for everything needed to do the front M-Sport conversion?

Found it!

I should add that the bumper cover part number is unique to a new OEM replacement bumper. If you are buying the bumper from another user, it will have a part number based upon the factory paint job.

MWPos - How far did you get with your idea before you decided to buy the M-sport bumper? I'm bummed that there's no solution because that was a great idea for guys like me who just bought a non-M-sport a few months ago and have already spent way too much money on it. haha

I looked at a lot of after-market solutions varying from inserts to glue-on shape kits like this http://3ddesign-na.com/products/5-Se...91.php?brand=8 (picture attached). In the end, I actually got estimates from several local body shops about aftermarket parts and they all said that they could do the best that they could, but nothing is ever as good as OEM. OEM meant, to me, the M Sport bumper conversion. I could not have afforded this unless I'd found the bumper cover, in good condition, on eBay for $300. As you wrote, the car alone is a huge expense. To spend any more on it for cosmetic reasons would have really annoyed the one person in my life who can tell me what to do
