Funny you should ask that today (I was going to ask the same thing). Instead I paid the $30 for access to the BMW TIS Site and found out it is 140 N-m (103 Ft-lbs).

I'm thinking about taking my wheels off tomorrow to give them a thorough cleaning and Zaino treatment.

that's quite a bit more than the 88lb-ft for e9x m3 wheels.

That was my reaction. Might be related to the increased size and weight meaning more rotating mass? Although if that were true, torque spec would vary with aftermarket wheels, and I don't think it does.

BMW's have ALWAYS been 99 lb-ft. This is new info for BMW's.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Don't know that I would recommend using the bolts again if the torque was really that much higher. Don't forget - "breaking" torque can be different than the applied torque at the time they were installed...though it sounds like you know that already.
Comical they were done in "Mechanics"burg...
