Mexico Pricing release (US increase?)
Mexico price is $87,390 which represents a 10% increase from the E46 at $79,390.
A 10% increase for the US would be welcome. That would put the car in just under $54k. I could see this number helping to reach the 100,000 sales milestone. Obviously, this is a very rough guage.

If they keep the M3 at $55K base they will keep it out of some big sharks' water.
If they price it over $60K base many will be heading to Porscheland.

Gosh if I push it, I could actually afford a $54,000MSRP. But with no options lol

How amazing would your 10% increase be - I'd love it.
I still think we're looking at 65K. Let's hope I get proven wrong and have to eat my words - I'd take that plus ten grand saved any day.

And, to the OP, where the heck did you find out the Mexican pricing?
I suppose I could research it a little bit and find out, but I'm sure you'll be back and I'm just to lazy to go to BMW.Mexico.com, or whatever it may be.

how can you even think that? That base price is infeasible. 65K OTD with a few options and tax maybe. Impossible for a 65K MSRP baseprice, theres no way in hell they will sell 100,000 with that. A 74K MSRP M3 vert? lol no way.

Base price predictions
My previous estimate of $55-57k still seems reasonable. Options are a big part of the BMW game and I think they will try to keep the base low by keeping it fairly stripped.

The mileage is bad when you hammer it, but I bet it does okay in the EPA tests.

Price
The desirable options for many will include 19s, leather, metallic paint, MDrive, EDC, DCT, premium sound, iPod adapter and HD radio. That's over $10k right there. Then you could add Nav, Satellite radio, extended leather, etc.

Swap satellite for HD radio and I concur with your list.
Some mysteries: DCT pricing: $2400 like SMG? Who knows? EDC: every review says it's a must have ... does BMW bump the price for it a bit? 19's: probably will stay the same as aftermarket is so easy to obtain Sound: Will America get the sweet radio or some shitty hk crap? |

Like they said earlier...this baby is going to be stripped to the point where one of the options is going to be a drivers seat and pushing it a passenger seat. I'm planning on the vert. so under 60k would be a great start.
