New iPod Nano - Anybody try yet?

One of my Apple colleagues gifted me the 2012 iPod nano with the new Lightning connector. Before I open it, has anybody tried iDrive with a new iDevice with Lightning? If things work as normal, I'll keep it.

Otherwise it heads to Craigslist.

I'm certainly no IT expert, but based on this article posted by Jason re the iPhone 5 snap-in adaptor and the issues with the new connector I'd say it might not work:

I'm not too worried about video - just audio and proper playback control + album art visible on my control display.

I actually AM an IT expert, and I would bet a lot that it works just fine. It's just USB on the M5, and the iPhone 5 works, so unless Apple dramatically changed the software interface for external accessories to access stored music just for the new Nano (which I seriously doubt), then it'll work perfectly.

But let us know for sure OP!

Yep. I'm in IT myself, hence the freebie. Just wanted to make sure it works before I open it. Apple fanboys get their knickers in a twist if they don't get to unwrap something.

If the iPhone 5 works, so should this. I imagine.
