Heating Up In Center Console (near knee area)

Has anyone experienced this when heat is directed to the rear seats? There is a service bulletin on it but it just seems warms up and that's it. If others are experiencing the same thing then perhaps I'll just leave it as it just warms up and is not necessarily bothering me. How warm does it get for you?

The service bulletin is for LOTS of warming

Others have reporrted some warming is normal when sendin warm air to the rear.

Thats just the area the air ducts go through

It's under the latest posting of the service bulletins under this maintenance/repair thread. Looks like it actually gets hot as opposed to warming up for you?

My center console gets quite hot, ONLY when the rear heat control is set to hot. Turning the rear temp dial to cool eliminates the heat buildup next to my knee.

On mine it gets very hot too. I had started looking for which vent was spewing all this heat to then find out that it was indeed the air duct that leads to the rear passenger area. It's unconfortable.

As it happens, our E91 is going in Friday to have the alarm installed. So I called and asked them to address this issue also. northerncalguy - thanks again for the service bulletin! You da man.

How hot is it getting for you? Can you not put your hand on it?
