Sat nav query
This may seem like a silly question but thought Id ask anyway. Ive got the F30 without the sat nav. Now if I wish to install sat nav can this be done through a memory card. I know you can do that in some Audis. Wondering what my options were if I wish to have sat nav on the dashboard display? Any suggestions?
Thank you! |

From my understanding it won't be easy or cheap. You would have to replace the whole screen, head unit box, and idrive controller at the very least, plus some programming.

It's not worth it. Buy a good Garmin and a brodit mount from pro clip and you'll be much happier. You can buy a Garmin with lifetime map and traffic updates for much cheaper than the price of updating the factory navigation.

BMW may offer a retrofit kit for business nav (the one w/6.5" screen) in future cos they've starting offering a kit for the F10. Also this may do http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=724580
Mapping for UK is available with this system. |
