They must have taken it out

but trust me, it was the ugliest modification that I have ever seem someone do to a 7 series... and yes... the ad said it won a design award.

Chances are it was a scam ad. When I was looking for a Celica GTS a few years back, there were lots on AutoTrader and Kijiji that were riced up the ass, always with a trophy in the pictures. All of them claimed to have won awards and were "a steal". Naturally, the email replies from the "sellers" were canned responses about how they have to leave the country bluh bluh bluh
