Those with ESS tunes

Probably a bad idea to install the tune on the weekend, but I didn't want to wait .

For those with the tune, is it common for the CEL to remain lit? I used the ESS Flash software to read any codes, but none were found. Even after an easy drive, the CEL stayed on and no codes were found.

I did reinstall the stock tune, then reflashed the ESS tune with the same result.

Already got a response back, and on a Saturday. Great service for sure.

Car just needs to be restarted 5 times and it will clear. Engine must run at least 1 min each time.

The CEL is gone and all is right in my world

The wife came home after a short morning of shopping, driving her M. We hoped into the Z and headed to the grocery store, she drove. We have a bit of a windy back road we can take... so we did "Wow, this is crazy fast".

I think she likes it

Most of my lights come on during programming

But then all of them clears after the engine is started.

The OBD2 port is located behind a lid in the footwell of the drivers side. Its very close to the door, and somewhat hidden by it when the door is closed. If you can find the handle to open the engine hood you can also find the OBD2 port.

It is common for your CEL to be on for 4-5 key cycles after you tune. It will shut off on its own

The "is" only has one option as it starts at 335 hp from BMW.

To answer your second question, quoting my wife as I did above, "Wow, this is crazy fast". And her other car is an '08 M3.

Does anyone set it back to stock or Stage 1 just to feel the difference from time to time?

I've set it to stage 2 from day 1 and the ESS module is collecting dust.
