I have a sport 335 sedan - and I always notice how low it is, which is great for handling but makes for a not very graceful exit and entry. This has been mentioned to me by various people of various sizes. The bolstered seats don't help either with that.
Any one thought about this? |

try getting some springs or coilovers and then dump the car to the ground. it'll really not be graceful then. hahahah

i also have a van an american sedan and coming to this car it feels like sitting on the ground. one time i had to pull someone out of the seat. it's all what you are used to or what you expect. |

As you noted, it's great for handling. Sport sedans should handle well, comfort is often compromised. I think it's worth it. Hope you are enjoying your ride.

Any one thought about this? Many passengers, young and old, experience difficulty with low seating positions because they try to climb feet first into the vehicle. I try to teach them to first sit down, and then swing their legs into the passenger compartment. |

E9x with sports package gives us great handling but it also gives us a rough ride and somewhat difficult entry and exit. It comes with the territory.
Our cars equipped with sports package aren't the best choice for most people. They are for people willing to put up with a rough ride, more difficult entry/exit and extra cost to enjoy driving great handling cars, people like most of us. |

I have the performance suspension installed, and I think it's still a fairly comfy ride so long as I avoid broken pavement and potholes. Even my girlfriend thinks it's cush, so much so, she can nap during longer drives, so long as I don't go crazy with the corners.

Yes sport is a bit too firm sometimes. Keeping the seat adjusted "up" might help passengers a little.

Find yourself some air-leveling shocks.
When you come to a stop, raise the car to 4x4 level, exit/enter gracefully ('cause we all KNOW that that world loves to watch BMW drivers get in/out of their cars), then lower before driving off again. Like a Range Rover, but backward. Last edited by dmatre; 07-27-2012 at 08:00 AM.. |

I am often down in the NY area as well. Will offer my non-sport seats + cash for your sport seats, which should help you out with your issue.
PM me or reply if interested! |

there is a reason why majority of women choose SUV / crossover type of vehicle, they sit high and getting in and out of the vehicle is easy
our car is low, but still better than say... getting in and out of a Lotus Elise |
