Angel eye bulbs keep blowing
Hey guys, new to the forums and here to ask a question about something that is perplexing me.
A few months ago, the factory parking light/corona light/angel eye on the driver's side went out on my car so I decided to replace it with the WeissLicht LEDs. I installed the new ones and all was well for about a month, then the same driver's side LED stopped working, giving me the CCID 131 code again. I called Bimmian, got a new set of WeissLichts shipped again under warranty, and replaced them last weekend. Just yesterday, the driver's side stopped working AGAIN, and gave me the CCID 131 code also. So, I'm currently driving around with only one angel eye working. Any idea as to what may be causing these bulbs to fail, all on the same side? Is there something I should check, or perhaps something I could be doing wrong while installing them? Is this a known problem with the WeissLichts? I'm getting tired of taking the damn inner fender liner out over and over just to replace a bulb. Any ideas would be appreciated. |

Angel Eye LEDs keep blowing
Quote:
Not bulbs, LEDs are blowing/burning. And for bulbs, wiping with alcohol gets rid of the oils. No issues with halogen bulbs. |

Anyone with this problem check voltage that side of the car is seeing? Would be where I would start. Odd to see them keep failing like that.
