Adaptive Light error + Lux Lights+ Warranty???

Hi Folks,

Hit a pot hole and got the adaptive lights error.

Taking it in tomorrow to the dealer.

I have LUX LIghts in

Should I remove them? (I assume yes) and will they know I changed them out??

I had heard there was some sort of seal on them but I never noticed anything when I removed the watertight cap when I swapped them out the first time.

Although I don't think it's necessary, you could do it as a precaution. Takes just a few mins. They will never know you changed them.

I was in the same exact position as you and did not feel like removing my LUXs. Luckily the next morning the error disappear and never returned. Been months now.

Id take them out for the main reason of not gettingthe work done under warranty and the second reason theyd swap the whole housing out with a new one with all new parts and youd have one headlight with lux amd the other stock.

Take them out and put OEM's back in. No need to take chances.

Humm. Not to sure about that. When you install LUX, you have to break a tab therefore it's hanging free in there, then the ballast can easily move inside the housing and maybe , I say maybe break something inside!
I have LUX , I own a lci 335d but no adaptive headlight!
Just my thumbs up.
