I called a local shop in my area yesterday reguarding purchasing and installing some AE's on my 2011 335. I was informed that they carry mtec v3. Upon my research I realized that mtec v3's are for (2005~2008 pre-LCI). Being that my 2011 is an lci i called back to make sure it would fit. The person told me yea they will work he has them on both his cars...jus wanted some insight on this...will it work?

They won't work. Mtec V3's will only fit in LCI halogens. You have a 335 (Xenons), so will need an H8 type bulb. I reccomend the LUX H8 V3's.

I see you went with the lux...any reason y u chose those instead...

I dont think a lot of people know but these just came out from HPB and are really bright. For people that want to spend less but get the same brightness (if not brighter then dtec,mtec,lux) you might want to check these out from HPB.

I've seen their 6 watt, 12 watt, and now there 20 watt in person. I've also seen the BMS, and the LUX in person too.
I would get the 20watt from HPB after seeing everything. Just my .02

There is already enough reviews and pictures to make your own judgments.

When I tested they looked pretty much identical

Decided to keep lux b/c it was in first

I posted a thread with pics of both simultaneously

Virtually no difference IMO
