LUX V3 in stock on Ebay. Too good to be true?

Hello.
I found these LUX H8 Angel eyes on Ebay for $199.
I emailed the seller asking if these were V3, and he said yes.

I know Lux deals around $250 new.

Is this really true? Anyone who knows how Lux V3 parts looks like comparing to the picture on Ebay, please let me know.

Here is a link.

Well, the seller is a liar

Those aren't Lux, and they certainly aren't V3.0

Here's link to picture of Lux v3.0

Thos eBay lights are noticeably different, especially the heat sink, not to mention the packaging is not Lux...

If they are superior - why does he need to steal the Lux name?

Can you please post pictures next to a new BMW in full on sunshine? I'm sorry, but I have researched the halos for months and I don't think what your saying can be true, simply due to the different design of the new headlights. Please do not post some pic of your car in a dark garage. That's garbage. Car facing sun with new bmw next to it.

I have Lux and although I think they are the best plug and play currently offered they are no where near what the new factory halos are.

Please tell me your joking about this right???

Sellers will use any gimmick possible to make their products sound the best out there. It is absolutely impossible for those LED's to make 1500 lumen each let alone be 20 watts each. If they tried to pump 20 watts of power into that light it would get so hot that the solder would melt in about 5 minutes and it would literally fall apart - No joke!

This product in the post is NOT our LUX H8 V3 angel eyes but rather some cheep Chinese knock-off product using crappy electronics, resistors and a design that looks like ours.

I understand your desire to defend your product, and consequential bias, but damn dude.

20 watts split into 4 bulbs is not a big deal. There are a ton of 5W bulbs on the market. Also 1500 lumens from 20 watts comes out to a luminous efficiency of 75 lumens/watt, which requires no miracle of science. There are bulbs out there which do twice that. Lastly, 20 watts into an LED leaves about 4 for heat, which is roughly the amount of heat you can output from the palms of your hands.

Why dont you buy em, test em, and post the results? Show us why we should spend an extra hundred bucks on Lux. Color me cynical, but yours wouldnt be the first aftermarket automotive company to charge a premium for a familiar name...

Yes there are other "5W" bulbs on the market, but they are not truely 5 watts either. Out LUX H8 V3's draw just over 7 watts of per per unit, and if you let them run for 30 minutes they do reach temperatures of 200F+. If you attempt to push 20 watts you will have a complete failure within 1 hour because the aluminum heatsink will not be able to dissipate the heat quick enough

We have tested them and weren't impressed much by them. the LED's do not draw much power, and the ready they claim its a 20W system is because they use resistors to cheaply and inefficiently waste away power. Resistors are not a very smart choice since all they do is get hot, and as they get hot their resistance goes down, causing them to get even hotter.
