I wouldn't paint it. The paint will chip, crack, etc.

Best method is to buy replacement trim from the dealer, but that will cost upwards of 350$. Second best would be a vinyl wrap, I would highly reccomend doing that. Shops charge around 100-150 to do it if you arn't comfortable DIY'ing it. Lastly, you could plastidip it with a $6 can, but this is a temporary solution and the texture it gives is rough.

You could always plasti dip...

Friend did it and it turned out great and only cost 6$

Also if you do not like it you can peel it off then try a different approach like go to dealer and pay up

Look for YouTube video on how to apply. You can get it at home depot

+1 or any hardware store usually. For vinyl wrapping it, look for car graphics shops, some tint places, or truck advert companies.

Make sure to tape up the car throughly and apply 5 coats every 15 minutes. Make first 2 coats a light base and go heavy on 3-5. I have noticed in the past that it's better to apply with cans that are not almost easy because they begin to spit, leaving a texturized look. I would assume it would take 3 cans to do 5 coats.

I plasti dipped my rims before I got them professionally done to see if I liked it. I drove around for a couple days and liked it so I decided to get them professionally done, even though they looked good enough to keep, I was picky and wanted to get them done because rims go through a lot of wear. I took of the wheels and just peeled it off. Hope this helps
