Has anyone in Sydney or Oz got a 4 pipe exhaust??
Hi,
does anyone have the dual setup of 2 tips left & 2 tips right on their E92.. I know o/seas they have suppliers/manufacturers, what about for us here in Oz any suppliers from overseas or local manufacturers, do this?? To help with the answers, please keep in mind i DO "NOT" have a 335i, just a 325 - and for me this is just a cosmetic look issue All help / direction or recommendation is highly appreciated. I am in Sydney, if this helps, or anyone would like to show me their setup if it exists, I'll shout you some lunch if you pass on by for your time... Thanks |

I don't think anyone locally would stock a setup dedicated to the BMW. Any good exhaust shop will be able to fabricate what you are after using good quality mufflers though. However if you ave deep pockets, I'm sure you can import something.

That said, Bavariacars sell the exhaust for the 335 and are actually looking at finding someone who's prepared to be the "guinea pig" so to speak with fitting up aftermarket parts to 335's. Think exhausts, coilovers, LSD's etc. If anyone with a 335 is interested let me know and I'll put you in touch with someone. Considering they are home to Australia's fastest BMW's they are more than capable of bolting on an exhaust to a car as the vast majority of their work is custom fabricated turbo installations which they manufacture in house. There are also heaps of other workshops in the Sydney basin who have access to a vast variety of parts and could do the job, although I have no personal experience with any of them. |

My exhaust on my M-Sports E90
Custom cut rear diffuser and all working quads. I replaced my centre muffler and installed 2 rear hotdogs for the twin pipes. A little bit of shuffling around but easy done. Done in Melbourne though but Im sure there are good exhaust shops around Sydney who can do the exhaust setup for you. Just have to either order in a rear diffuser from overseas or custom make one yourself like I did. If you havent got the M-Sports kit then Im a little unsure on whats available. Im sure there are the full coloured-bodied rear bars available with the dual cutouts. But perhaps you have to go with Schnitzer of the likes for a kit.

I've ordered a remus quad system for my 335i. Not sure what they have for the 325 though. You can trim the original bumper - no need to buy an aftermarket setup - unless you want to change the look. The Remus Quads I've ordered come with a template and instructions on how to trim the OEM bumper. The Australian distributor for Remus is Motoline Products in Victoria (03) 9756 3777. They can put you in touch with the nearest retailer.
Failing that, contact TCCA motorsports at Artarmon. They are a BMW tuner specialist and are the Reiger distributor in Australia. They have a huge array of aftermarket stuff for BMW, Merc, Audi, Alfa etc. Phone (02) 9436 3668. They also source Eisenmann and other euro exhaust systems and could probably custom build something for you. Here's a pic of the eisenmann quad for the 325. 2nd pic of std muffler - not quad. Better get your wallet ready though!!!!!

Thanks all
You've all been prompt on this one. Its always good getting news and info about sources in your own backyard, as opposed to on the other side of the world (europe / US etc) Pity though one thing is in common, out here getting a good solution sometimes means partying with the good stuff in your wallet But any new info, please feel free to post or PM me. Cheers |

It's sort of functional. It does have a pipe that joins the muffler to the tips but one could argue that there is not a lot of exhaust flow through it.

Seems like a lot of effort on the pipework though for something that doesn't do anything.

Hey thanks E93, yeah this could be the one... but I think Im going to try local fabricators and see what their opinions are, I'll show em the pics (appreciated) and find out what their take is on it, maybe just 2 smaller mufflers might be the way, but like its been said, I dont want to NOT give local business a chance, and when its a look thing it really isnt all about the performance, ie Im not running an E60 V10 M5, and need the precision of a o/seas tuner house.
I'll post their feedback on the Eisenmann 325 quad setup... wonder if they think it would be ok..? I can only picture a cold winter morning, and all of a sudden, the foggy smog from the exhaust looks so much denser on the LHS than the one from the rear tips on the RHS, but then I could be wrong .... |

Remus for 335
Do you have any information on the Remus exhaust for e92 335? All that is on the Remus website are part numbers an pictures of the quad pipes.
My questions are: Do the original pipes need to be cut or are the mufflers cat back? Are original mounts used? Does the system have any European approvals such as TUV or EEC? Installation instructione etc that are supplied with the system would be great, pity Remus do not have this on their website I have previously used Remus on e34 and e39 540's an they were great. So I am seriosly considering Remus for my e92 I've ordered a remus quad system for my 335i. Not sure what they have for the 325 though. You can trim the original bumper - no need to buy an aftermarket setup - unless you want to change the look.
