Angel Eye Out!

hey guys I have an angel eye out! It is the large ring on the pass side. Is there any troubleshooting to fix this?

I tried wiggling wires at connections but nothing

Any help?

are you getting any malfunctions on your dash? you might just need to replace the AE's. good time to upgrade to something better.

True. There's some on eBay for cheap and I hear they are ok. I give you the link when I get home.

Mine just died too...they took the bumper off to get at it...but I could not tell if they really needed to do that since they enter the light housing from the rear/top.

Is it necessary to remove the bumper to replace the AE bulb on a 2011 E92 LCI. (that has halogen AE for some reason...though rest of the car is LED LCI update.)

I'm going to echo what others have said--on the E90/91/92/93 Pre LCI and E90/91 LCI, its impossible for just the outer ring to be out. because one bulb drives two rings per headlight.

but if you have an E92/93 LCI, I suspect the LED unit has gone bad, and that should definitely be under warranty, since the car is only a year or so old!

if its not though. then its a part that will cost a few hundred bucks, you have to replace the whole LED "brick" (heatsink, 2 led emitters, and drivers)

ok, if its an aftermarket Ae, it's not an e92 LCI lol, so my answer changes!

the aftermarket AE has gone bad, and needs replacement, plain and simple. if you have an e90 pre LCI, one led emitter on the aftermarket AEs are tied to each angel eye ring. so one could be dead.
