Anyone know how to remove the mirror caps of a preLCI E92? I have the mirror assemblies off, I just want to know how to remove the mirror caps. Thank you

Doesn't matter, they come off the same way for both.

I got curious today and tried to do this but didn't have the balls to pull harder as I didn't want to snap or break anything anything.

How are the mirror caps held on to the mirror? Tabs, glue, tape, etc.?

Just a few interlocking tabs. If you look at the replacement youll see how it works.

Garage List
Once you pop your cherry, they come off easier afterwards.

I did it another way, sorry for the late update, but wanted everyone to know for the future.

If you have a hook tool:

this will be much easier.

Take of your Mirror(the glass), by moving the mirror althe way down and towards the car(how i did it), place the hook tool behind the mirror and give it a pull, there are 3 clips along the top you want to pull off, both sides and the middle. Once this is completed the mirror will come off very easily.

Then I you see all of the clips on the mirror. Use a small screw driver to unclip the tabs and WALLAH, your mirror is taken apart, and there no broken clips or tabs!!!!

I can provide photos if requested. Didnt take any but my mirrors are apart now, but i will be putting them back together today.

Thanks.
