Sunroof makes noise when closing

My two month old 328 is in the shop. Sunroof made noise when closing and the visor only opens halfway now. I hope they fix it fast. Got a 335d 2011 loaner now.

A couple of observations. Motor sounds great in 335d, but I prefer the acceleration of the 328. One transmission has 6 gears vs 8 and is smoother on the new model when shifting. Not a big fan of the cruise control stalk. I like it much better on the wheel.
Cupholders hands down better on new model. Coffee spilled on the first bump out the road. I want my F30 back.

How long did the sunroof make that sound before giving you a problem?
Could you describe it? I noticed a sound last night when closing mine, when it was about 3/4 of the way closed, but I need to pay more attention, I don't know if it's always been making that noise or if it's something new.

It was making noise for about a week. It turns out if was the felt coming loose and they simply reattached it. Noise is gone and operation is smooth

Mine makes a little clunk right before it shuts. I haven't bothered to take it in yet.

Mine too, exactly the same. I did the huh, that doesn't sound right. Then ignored it and told myself it's in my head.

Mine too. It's almost like a grinding clunk for me. I hope this is "normal"

It makes the same noise that my old Acura used to make when closing the sunroof, so I think it's normal. However if you were previously in a different car then normal might sound entirely different.
