Real life Mileage figures for 328i Sport 6MT

My ride is F30 328i Sport 6MT, 240hp

While I attempt to upload my iPhone snaps of the mileage that I got during my trip this morning, here are my settings/driving conditions

EcoPro mode: limit 100km/h or 62mph
Cruise control at same limit as EcoPro mode
A/C On

On a 99km trip I achieved 5.7l/100km average at 73km/h speed average, but as mentioned at cruising speed of 100km/, or for US counterparts, on a 61 mile trip I achieved 41.1mpg average at 45mph speed average, crusing at 62mph speed.

Now that is why I like petrol 4 bangers, and to have achieved this with a turbocharged, 240 spewing ponies power plant, to me is remarkable. This makes me love my f30 even more and can appreciate gasoline engine for both speed and acceleration when wanted, and frugal mileage on the opposite end of the same spectrum.

Stay tunned for picture proof.

I drive a 318d normally, but that's in the shop at the moment. That gets me on my commute 71mpg - but that's mainly motorways on cruise at 65. At 70mph it drops to 60mpg so 5mph sacrafice for 11mpg is fair haha.

I have a 320i loaner (coupe, not new shape) at the mo and it's economy figures are not so good. I have been driving it a bit sportier a some points but at 30mpg it's not quite as appealing as the diesel. Performance wise (I havent looked at the figures) the diesel is just as quick as far as my bum feels it.

So quite the reverse to your experience - I love the milage out of the diesel and theres more than enough power to keep me happy when I feel like it.

Can't wait to get my car back now. Much nicer interior in the F30!

I managed 72.4 from my 318d luxury at 65 mph on cruise. Usually 55-60. Averaged 50 over the 1900 miles I've covered so far.

Well happy.

For my average over the last 1400 miles, see my signature lol

Only one time I had a 27.4 mileage and this was with a lot of freeway driving and me trying very hard for a nice mileage. In overall I am looking at 22-23 mpg with normal driving, mostly in eco-pro (due to the amount of traffic here there is no need for sport mode lol, that one is reserved for when I'm driving in areas without traffic ). Although I save about 30 USD per filling on my tank compared to my last car, the numbers are below what I expected.

I am getting between 28-29mpg (calculated, not from car computer), mix of freeway and around-town driving, 328i Auto, over about 4,000 miles. Computer is usually higher by 1.2-1.6mpg.
