Question Decisions????

I don't know what to get next. So far I have jb4, bms dci and second cat delete. I have $860 to spend. I want to get carbon fiber hood, fmic, downpipes and charge pipe with synapse with blow off valve. I figure I could sell my stock hood and get downpipes. What do u guys think?

Where will I see most gains?

IMO, performance > good looks. Get an FMIC, the AA Sport is the least expensive quality build (5" core, inlet/outlet & cold piping up to the CP). That'll set you back $675 (ETS new is ~$760), but if you can find a good FMIC used, pounce on that. Same with DPs, look at VRSF (new $385), but if you can find used for less expensive go with them. With both, just make sure there's no significant wear & tear (cracks, bends, etc).

I'd say hold off on an CP + BOV for now just because there's no way you'd be able to afford those 2 mods and still have money for a CF hood + a CP/BOV upgrade. Also, most people don't upgrade from their OEM CP until they have a boost leak or they want to start running meth.

From your list of mods the best gains will come from cat less downpipes. An FMIC is a good mod to start and its a toss up whether to get the DPs or FMIC first as opinions will be split. If you are after power, then go DPs first.

For $860 you must get an intercooler (maybe used ?) and a set of downpipes (even Raceland, but better VRSF). You will then be on a whole new level in terms of power gains.

Get both of these first, and forget about the other mods.

I was thinking about going with the ETS FMIC & the VRSF downpipes. The reviews on the Raceland downpipes arent that great.

If your budget allows, of course VRSF is better. But Racelands provide the same gains, and fit well. Just the welds are bad...must make a compromise with your budget. A used set of downpipes (if they are stainless steel) could also be an idea, there's not more that can happen to them with usage. But a second-hand intercooler is more likely to have small damage (bent fins, etc.)

I might just get the intercooler for right now because its really hot. And then get the VRSF downpipes.

Whichever is a good idea. Fwiw I went downpipes first and even got meth before my downpipes and still havent upgraded my FMIC. Granted I've kept really light on the pedal this summer so far, but my car now has 71000 miles and is doing great. Ive pushed it very hard too, going as high as 19.5 psi on stock turbos. I'm still on my stock charge pipe and DDVs and they have held up much better than I'd expect given how often people run out and buy upgraded CP + BOV/DDV units before anything even happens to their OEM pieces.

Get VRSF DPs and a new FMIC and dont worry about the CP until something bad happens. Chances are good that you wont need to replace it.

Bday present from the fam, c/o my brother. They're somehow $1,700 dollars brand new, but I got the shelf set from HP Autowerks for $990. If they weren't the shelf set, it would've been ARs. Thing I like the most about the Akra's are the flex section like the OEM DPs & the subframe mounting points.

Lol, I'm trying to get that M3 Akra sound

**Real Talk: The Akra exhaust system REALLY makes me want an M3..... AND brand whoring would've been Supersprints! Even I agree that the Akras ($1,700) are excessive, but SuperSprint DPs are $3k!
